After a successful virgin tour in cooperation with the Berlin Coffee Festival, we are ready to kick-off the 2nd Edition!

Fork & Walk Tours presents a unique deep dive into the Berlin 3rd wave coffee scene through Kreuzberg & Neukölln. Led by our very own coffee connoisseur, we undertake a journey from the coffee farms to the perfectly brewed coffee in your cup. With three stops at some of Berlin’s best coffee shops and roasters, this tour is the ultimate and most intimate look into Berlin’s third wave coffee scene.

On this intimate tour we go behind the scenes to chat with some of Berlin's best baristas about beans, methods, sustainability, no waste and the future of coffee & the milk farming industry. Along the way we learn & taste the varying roasts through coffee cupping at each of these local spots.

Our Berlin Coffee Tour starts very early in the morning. Why? Because this is when all the magic in happens. The smell of freshly ground coffee, the sound of the coffee grinder and the silence once the first espresso is sitting in your cup.

This unique coffee tour will lead you to some of the best third wave coffee places and barista bars in Berlin Neukölln and Kreuzberg. But we will not stop at drinking coffee, we undertake a journey from the coffee farms to the perfectly brewed coffee in your cup. With three stops at some of Berlin’s best coffee shops and coffee roasters, this tour is the ultimate and most intimate look into Berlin’s third wave coffee scene.

While we walk through the different “Kiezes” you’ll get some fine tips where to drink excellent coffee in the future.

This tour is suitable for coffee lovers of all levels: coffee nerds and absolute beginners.

Part 1

We take a deep look into the coffee business, starting early, we’ll get an exclusive inside into the daily routine of a barista and third wave coffee shop owner in Neukölln. Before the masses arrive we’ll have a cup of speciality coffee paired with a light breakfast bowl. And of course we’ll have a private chat about what’s happening in the Berlin coffee scene right now.

Part 2

After this introduction we dive in deeper, heading to Kreuzkölln for a so called “cupping”,  a professional coffee tasting. Our host, coffee shop owner and roaster, will take us to the private roasting room and brew us 3-4 varieties of high quality beans and explain step by step how to select the perfect coffee. You will learn how much there is to taste when drinking coffee. #no milk

Part 3

Finally, our journey ends at the beginning, at a coffee roastery in the heart of Kreuzberg. How are raw coffee beans transferred into the intensively smelling coffee beans? We’ll have a private session with the head roaster digging deep into the roasting process. Beside the roasting business, we will learn about the direct trade of coffee and what this means for farmers, micro roasteries, coffee shops and consumers, like us.

The wrap-up

We finish the tour with an optional visit and lunch at Markthalle Neun, with some inside stories and of course some tips for the best eats. (Lunch not included)
