A Jewish history tour of Berlin..
Learn about the history of the Jewish people in Berlin, the horrors of Nazi Germany on the Jewish quarters and the re-growth of the community in Prenzlauer Berg. Included in the tour is the former 'Ost-Juden' quarter, an area which is famous for formerly hosting Jewish immigrants and the only Synagogue not destroyed on the 'Night of Broken Glass (Kristallnacht)'. We also discover the oldest Jewish cemetery hosting 22,500 graves dating back from 1827 in an amazing tranquil setting. It is truly astonishing.
Historical Berlin is unveiled. From the hub of former East Berlin Stasi-land, through to the largest squatting culture of the 80s, to becoming the first truly gentrified area of Berlin. You won't believe the transformation of these two neighbourhoods, as we stroll along the Neo-classical buildings to encounter some of Berlin’s most exquisite cuisine.
